Gulf countries (Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait) are arid and has many critical engineering problems in areas such as oil exploration and exploitation, water desalination, security in food and agriculture, frequent dust storms, environmental issues in the terrestrial, sea and atmosphere, conventional and non-conventional power generation, land and marine infrastructure developments, waste disposal etc.
Research and developments are in progress in these fields at different institutes and organizations within the Gulf countries and it is necessary to disseminate the knowledge and experiences gained in these fields for optimizing the engineering design. The main aim of this international conference is to share the experiences of engineers, researchers, college faculty members, and professionals on the engineering challenges faced by Gulf countries for mutual benefit. Sustainable economic development is the key challenge.
This conference provides opportunities to address engineering challenges faced by Gulf countries and explores the innovative solutions the countries are using for optimal and sustainable progress. This conference will act as a welcome forum to report and discuss the latest advancements in these engineering fields.
First International Conference on Engineering Challenges in Gulf Countries (ICECIG 2019) will be organized by the Institution of Engineers Kuwait Chapter (IEI KC) in Kuwait during 12-13 January 2019.
